Stalin museum

Stalin Museum – situated in Gori, in the town where Stalin was born. The complex of the museum was opened in 1957. The complex of the museum includes the memorial house. Stalin’s carriage and the two-storeyed exhibition building. In front of the building Stalin statue is situated (sculptor Silovan Kakabadze). Still can display unique: memorial things, presents, canvases, photo- and film documents are gathered in the museum.

Joseph Stalin’s Museum

Museum collection : in the first place Museum complex consists of memorial house. There Stalin was born, exposition building with tower and Stalin’s personal coach with interior. By which he had traveled to Tehran, Yalta and Potsdam. Firstly Museum houses Stalin’s personal things, study room of Kremlin. What’s more there are manuscripts, gifts from over the world, Stalin’s mask author: Manizer), paintings (U. Japaridze, L. Gudiashvili, E. Akhvlediani, G. Totibadze, K. Magalashvili, A, Kutateladze, A. Bletkin, V. Serov, D. Maisashvili, S. Semenov etc.)

Exhibitions: “Stalin’s childhood”, “1937”, “Stalin’s epoch”.
Educational programmed: “Voluntaries School”, “Young guides school”, “Epochal games”. “Staff‘s trainings of in Museum Management issues”.
Publications additionally including: Museums newsletter, “Stalin’s poetry”, Museum guide (preparing process).

Working hours: Everyday, 10.00 – 18.00 in summer, 10.00 – 17.00 in winter
Ticket price: Adults –10 GEL, children – 1 GEL, students – 3 GEL.

Free of charge: Children under 6 years of age and homeless children. Groups: Employees of Georgian and Foreign Museums, ICOMICOMOS members (with valid identification). People with disabilities, soldiers, refugees.
